Dr. Cibirka graduated from the University of Detroit School of Dentistry magna cum laude and then completed a prosthodontics residency at the University of Michigan. Following this, e participated in forensic dental identifications including two jet crashes and served as the team dentist for the Detroit Pistons and Red Wings. Once he moved to Atlanta in 1996, he was the team dentist for the Atlanta Gladiators hockey team.
Dr. Cibirka is internationally recognized for his achievements as a health education innovator using advanced technologies including mobile and wearable devices, virtual and high-fidelity simulation. Dr. Cibirka has been a faculty member at three major universities training dental students and prosthodontic residents. He served as course director for a world-renowned Implant Maxi Course for eleven years training over 565 dentists on how to place and restore dental implants. As a strategic advisor and global speaker for NobelBiocare, Straumann and Henry Schein corporations, he has lectured on every continent in the world regarding prosthodontics, complex oral rehabilitation, implant restorations, cosmetic transformations, digital dentistry, dental innovation technology, virtual simulation, and biocompatibility to over 195,000 dentists. Dr. Cibirka, developed with a design team for X-Box, an educational simulation program to train dental students how to place diagnose, place and restore dental implants.
Dr. Cibirka served on a health care advisory board for Apple Corporation instrumental in the early development of the Apple watch for use in healthcare and IPOD/IPAD technology in dental education.
Dr. Cibirka has been awarded research funding totaling more than $15M and published numerous articles on enhancing patient quality of life outcomes, dental implants and dental materials.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Cibirka enjoys spending time with family and friends. He has a passion for any outdoor activities, with a particular interests in cycling and sailing. He has been a professional sailor, participating in two America’s Cup competitions, the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta and has won two NCAA intercollegiate national championships, as well as four World Championships in different classes of sailboats.
